Fatal traffic accident closes La. Hwy 29

La. Hwy 29, near Riche Lane between Cottonport and Evergreen, is closed at this time as authorities work on a fatal traffic accident at about 2:40 p.m. today.

Details are limited, but law enforcement officials have confirmed there was a head-on collision between two pickup trucks with the drivers of both vehicles killed. Information indicates there were no passengers in either vehicle.
